(and an unclogged toilet and dirty plunger) that's how i did it! see! that wasn't too hard now was it!!!! Sunday, May 11, 2003 I'm kind of screwed. I have a lot of stuff on monday and tuesday but i still decided to go to the j5 concert. it was well worth it. i should be writing a paper now, but i decided to take a quick break to blog. i've created a new tradition, and it shall be called sunday pho time. for a while now a bunch of us have gone to ranch 99 to have pho after church on sunday. if you haven't been there before, ask someone to take you there. it has the best pho. so stinking good. anyways back to my paper i go........ dang..... can't wait... Saturday, May 10, 2003 nancy and roy just came over for lunch. after we ate, roy and I decided to play some chess. guess how many moves it took me to checkmate him? 5. hahahhaa. it was awesome. i wanted to take a picture of the chessboard, but i didn't have a camera. o well. hahaha. so we played another game, and roy had a chance to beat me this time, one move would have given him checkmate. too bad he was scared of my pieces and couldn't see that one move. i ended up beating him. haha. i love roy. he's the bestest Friday, May 09, 2003 i've never mentioned this before, but i have an awesome small group. we had a great dynamic from day one, when one of our first conversations was about our individual fantasy basketball teams. ever since then it's been sports talk and espn all throughout the year, but only when we're not actually having bible study. each and every single one of the guys is really cool and kick back. while we were in a group during the picnic, i realized how much i enjoyed being in their company. dang the year is already coming to an end, and we're gonna be seniors. i remember freshman year when doug sat us down (me andy and eugene) and told us that we should cherish freshman year because time would go by so fast. that day literally seemed like yesterday. these past three years have been a blur of memories, both good and bad, and also of experiences that i'm never gonna forget. wait, i still have another year left. enough of this sappiness. time to write my paper! Wednesday, May 07, 2003 ahhhhh. i hate customer service people. ahhhhh. so in the past i've been unlucky with customer service reps that i've had to call or wait in line for. a couple examples are verizon, and the berkeley parking office. and today was no different. i was in line at the post office, and after 30 minutes my number finally got called. so i go up there and ask for a box to put some stuff in. so i get the box and start folding it. too bad i'm not good at doing that thing with the boxes where you push all four sides in at one time. i took like a good 5 minutes just to do one side, and the lady was getting impatient. she was like.... you're supposed to come in ready with everything. so i ended up finishing, but apparently they don't like it if you fold the box the way i did on both sides, so i had to take one side apart and fold it the regular way. and i had a label to put on but she was like, no, that's a priority mail label. i ripped off the part that said priority mail and gave the box to the lady. she then told me i needed to tape the box up, and so i asked her if i could use the tape that was right in front of my face. she said no, you need packaging tape, and that's $3.29. so i had to buy that, and then she told me to wrap it up. i moved over to the next counter right next to her to do it, but she said, go to the back, and if someone is there tell them to move. so i went back there and taped it up, and came back up to her, and she said, wait your turn, no one rushed you. so i waited, and then when she was done with that person she took my box and said, thank you! during this whole time priscilla was with me because her number was like 15 after me, and so i told her she could just mail her stuff with me. the lady was getting mad at her for wanting to buy stamps. she was like, wait until i finish mailing this. and she said all this in a mean, annoying voice. i'm sure everyone knows i get annoyed easily. that's why i honestly think God tested me today. i wanted to sock that lady so bad. i also wanted to cuss her out and get in an argument with her too. daaaaaaang i was so pissed. i don't know why I didn't, maybe cuz there were other church people around. something i should work on. but why does this always seem to happen to me?!?!? i know their work is hard, but would it hurt them to be nice once in a while? i'm just having a crappy day. Thursday, May 01, 2003 freshman year potch was a fun experience. but one skit i totally forgot about until now was the freshman girls' dance routine. hahahahhaha. great times. too bad there's no footage of that. very saddening. which reminds me, usually i don't get too embarrassed, but there's one thing from my past that i definitely do not want anyone to see. what is this? ... ... .. . like i was gonna give it away that easily. haha. i freggin have a 10 minute presentation to do at 9:30am. i'm so tired. ![]() |
